Why this movie is pissed on so much I'll never know, if you like mail me with your thoughts but I had a blast with this movie. Your expected stalk and slash about an unattractive outcast boy shunned by the beautiful girls in his school and mentally scarred by the anguish suffered at the hands of his bullies (think Carrie at this point). Years later it seems someone is watching the now grown up high school beauties and preying off of them. The kills were the major let down of this movie but the film had several kill scenes unfairly cut by the MPAA (WTF?) that were fairly tame anyway, a la the iron scene where the weird dude is sniffing the panties. The were originally many more swings of the Iron in this scene (But what does it matter you never see it connect with the guy so in essence theres nothing to censor!)
I had to love the extremely large lumbering looking killer with the overly eerie looking cherub mask. Theres just something really unsettling about a large hulking figure with a baby face. Major heebie jeebies!
My only real problems with the movie are Denise Richards who looks out of place. I didn't buy here at all! and just how predictable the killer is. It just felt like a slap in the face. However this didnt stop me enjoying the film and I had a fun time. Lots of nice looking ladies running around and a killer that made me feel uneasy every time he entered the frame.
Is your nose bleeding?

A movie I actually expected more from. I had heard a lot about this movie (many positive reviews) however I was a little let down. Upon picking up a copy in the local video store I was struck by how much the cover looks like the cover of a video game? Anyone else pick up on this. Oddly enough on watching it the main character looks like someone from a 'Final Fantasy' game. I thought the movie had a great story, kind of let down by the whole "escaped prisoners" idea. Prisoners of what? Prisoners where? However it had me cracking up all the time, great over the top gore and fantastic stunt and martial arts sequences. If there is one problem with the movie its that the whole thing is set in a forest. Nothing wrong with this but as the movie runs at about 2 hours this becomes a bit tiresome. It also runs out of steam towards the end. Killer conclusion though!
Enter the Dragon meets Dawn of the Dead - Great fun! You either love it or you hate it!
